JAC are proud to be driving KiwiHarvest with the use of its 100% EV Truck across Auckland, helping the team to rescue more food, all while being emissions free… and with reduced running costs. What more could you want?
KiwiHarvest use a chilled box body, completing drop offs and pick ups across Auckland, and returning back to base with range still left over.

Seti is one of KiwiHarvest’s longest serving Food Rescue Drivers… and we reckon she’s got the best truck in the fleet. Seti will complete a full day of her collections and deliveries in the JAC EV Truck and still have range left over.

EV Trucking – a breeze for KiwiHarvest’s urban run
Seti’s run has an average of 62.2km’s using only 20-25% of the battery.
Her average run has 15 stops across Auckland, collecting and delivering items across the day.
The EV Truck makes the most of the urban stop-start driving with regenerative braking, saving normally wasted energy by using it to charge the battery on the go.
The chilled box body uses an ePTO to run the chiller unit with 100% battery power, removing diesel-idling to keep the load chilled all day, everyday.

Charging their EV Truck
The KiwiHarvest team operate during the day, completing their deliveries and collections. They then plug in their EV Truck overnight during down time and return the next morning to a fully charged EV Truck.
The team use a portable DC charger with a CCS2 plug, this is plugged into the building’s existing 3-phase power.
The JAC team are able to provide advice and options for charging and what suits your business the best.
